Tsunami Glassworks
About the Studio

Kriston and Eva are a husband and wife
design duo who began working together in 2001.
Kriston Gene is the technical brain behind Tsunami Glassworks. His roster of
skills involves the production management of design projects as well as
engineering, design and rendering. Kriston designs primarily the lighting
and architectural products for Tsunami Glassworks. Kris prefers clean linear
lines, progressive design ideas and the mixing of the organic with
technology. Kriston obtained a degree in psychology at the University of
Windsor before completing the Sheridan College School of Art and Design
glass blowing program where he and Eva met.
Eva is the creative director for
Tsunami Glassworks. She designs primarily the decorative and sculptural
glass product line for the company. With a passion for bright colors,
organic, fluid forms and tactile objects, Eva's design sensibility is
unmistakable.
Eva began her creative career in commercial photography before pursuing the
craft of glassblowing at the Sheridan College School of Arts and Design in
Oakville Ontario. Growing up it was either glassblowing or becoming an
astronaut. Glass won! Eva held a residency in the glass studio at Toronto's
Harbourfront Center, taught glassblowing classes at Sheridan College and was
a singer in a punk rock band.
