John Longmire Bio


	Having spent the summers of his youth at the Jersey shore, the driving force behind John F. Longmire's art has always been his love for the ocean. In each of his paintings he strives to capture the common and simple beauty of shore life. Born in 1963, Longmire became acquainted with art through his father, a painter, who sat him down at an easel at the age of eleven. Since that time, with brush in hand, Longmire has intuitively developed his own technique and style. His painting technique combines elements from his earlier experience in technical drafting and airbrushing to produce paintings with a recognizable style characterized by crisp, sharp images, dramatic use of color, and exceptional attention to detail. The result is an image that feels as though you could walk into it. John Longmire now lives in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania.
