Artist's Statement

My constant painting of flowers and landscapes has come from a lifelong love of nature. While growing up in Salem, New Jersey, my mother always had a colorful garden of flowers in the front yard (which I often helped plant), a Willow Tree, a Dogwood Tree, and a marsh behind our backyard. We spent many days of the summer on the shore of the Delaware River and at the beaches of Atlantic City and Brigantine, New Jersey. I grew to love those places and it is no surprise that I moved to the shore, have a garden of colorful flowers (which I love to paint) and often can be found painting the coasts and marshes of New Jersey, Florida, California.
