       Brian Davis is an artist who truly understands the creation of a piece of art. A native Californian, Davis studied art at Pierce College and Cal State University. Known for his magnificent flowers, he is able to transform exquisite blossoms into romantic, compelling images with sharpness, color, movement, edge and light. He believes that the great depth in his art is derived from the great attention he pays to subtle shifts in value (relative light and dark). Davis states, "the light is the real subject of my work; the flower is the stage, the light is the dancer." His work allows the viewer to feel and recognize the light as the essence of the painting.
