Aaron (Bogy) Bogushefsky Biography
Surf shops have dubbed him "an East Coast phenomenon,” others may know him as Aaron, but most just call him "Bogy". Bogy graduated from Ocean City High School in 2001 and later attended The University of Delaware in 2005, where he majored in the Arts, focusing on techniques in painting and photography. During those times, Bogy always seemed to go against the norm and “mix it up” a bit, fusing taught techniques with his intuitive sense of whimsy and unique character. “I never got particularly good grades in my art classes because I never did what they asked for." Luckily, Bogy’s rebellion is why his art is so popular today. Because of its uniqueness, Bogy’s work is hard to define; however, his work can be described as colorful, curvy, and curious- whimsical illustration art. His works are a mix of cartoon and realism. He paints in a variety of mediums and forms, including surfboards, t-shirts, murals, and paper. In addition to painting, Bogy has a passion for teaching, coaching soccer, and surfing. Bogy continues to become more popular while maintaining his status as a local favorite. He currently lives in Ocean City, NJ. |
