Beki
Killorin, a native Oklahoman, received most of her training in her home
state. Oil, inks, mixed media and watercolors have been the cornerstone
of her artistic growth. In 1983, she took a major step into intaglio
printmaking. The technical challenge of this medium, combined with her
already well-defined skills as a professional artist, have provided a
positive avenue for print making as a full time career. Beki now
produces paintings and hand colored prints from her studio on a small
island in Washington's Puget Sound. Her style brings a contemporary look
to familiar subjects, imbuing birds, flowers and other images of the
natural world with a unique life and spirit. As an artist she tries to
"express her artistic emotion in such a way that the viewer
instantly feels and recognizes the individuality she brings to
each painting or print that she creates. |
