Biography

"Scott Meyer is in most respects a self taught artist. Born in Champagn Ill. on a hot summer day in Aug. 1962, Scott's desire to create things and build stuff started very early, his first exposure to art was very young at Pat Witt's Barn Studio, watercolors, pastels, pencils and ink were his first choices, his ability to draw and create were further realized as a graphic artist for advertising companies, map drawing and design work for area printers and a deep interest in architectural design lead to his experience as a draftsman.

His exposure to glass was at an early age when they built the famed Wheaton Village in his back yard, later he worked as a volunteer to gain a closer look at the possibilities in glass, his first touch was at the ripe age of 30, with sheer desire and an amazing drive he has progressed into a fine glass craftsman as well as a top designer, he has given special demonstrations at Fenton glass as well as Blenko glass.  Scott has now relocated to his hometown of Millville, NJ to open his own studio/gallery in the heart of the Glasstown Arts District and to explore his passion for glass one step further."
